Smartfood Selects

I'm been a busy little Bzz agent again :)

This week I got to try the new Smartfood Selects snacks. They sent me two bags of the hummus chips (feta herb and garlic tomato basil). So far I have tried the feta herb flavor and they are so so good. super crunchy, lots of flavor without being overpowering and you don't feel the need for a dip with them as they have so much flavor. With an added bonus that they are 110 calories a bag or less. They also contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, 0g of trans fat and no MSG. The hummus popped chips also come in two other flavors Italian herb and cinnamon brown sugar

I also got sent a bag of sour cream onion puffed corn, I haven't had anything like this before, but will definitely be buying it again. It was super yummy and again lots of flavor without being overpowering and a bowl  (68 pieces) of them was only 160 calories.

The puffed corn contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, 0g of trans fat, no MSG, they are baked not fried and are suitable for a kosher diet. See all good stuff :)

Smartfood selects also make popcorn and granola popcorn, which sound really good too and I look forward to picking some up when I'm next at the store.

For those of you not already aware I am a Bzz Agent which means I was sent these products to try free of charge and I get to share my opinion of them with you guys. If you are interested in trying products for free them sign up here www.bzzagent.com.

Glade Expressions Collection

Ive been a busy little BzzAgent* again. This time it was the new Glade expressions collection and as a result my house is smelling extra lovely.

I tend to burn a lot of scented candles in my home, or use reed diffusers, so it was nice to try something new.  The first store I went to had limited items, so I was only able to buy the fragrance mist, the scent I purchased was cotton & Italian mandarin (Open your home with the bright, breezy blend of cotton and sparkling citrus, honeydew and sandalwood). This turned out to be a good option as it is the only fragrance that is only available in the mist. The scent is not too overpowering which is good, as sometimes you end up spraying and then spending the next ten minutes sneezing!! Also the smell lingers for a decent amount of time and travels well, I sprayed it in one room and walked to another room, and could still smell it. It is a really nice clean smell. I would use this in all rooms of the house as I think it is suitable for a selection of rooms. The design is also really nice and it doesn't stand out as much as other products, the handle is a squeeze mechanism to activate the spray which I really like. Also you buy refills that you place in the top, so you aren't having to dispose of the whole package each time.

The Glade expressions collection comes in four fragrances:

Cotton & Italian Mandarin - Open your home with the bright, breezy blend of cotton and sparkling citrus, honeydew and sandalwood*
Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice - A ripe, spicy blend of sweet pears and crisp apple with a dash of cinnamon and clove that warms and invigorates
Lavender & Juniper Berry - Lush lavender blends with fresh juniper berry, eucalyptus and rose to relax the senses and open your home
Pineapple & Mangosteen - Evoke a tropical paradise with the blend of freshly cut pineapples and hint of tangy mangosteen, creamy coconut and passionflower
*Available in Glade Expressions® Fragrance Mist only.

I also purchased the diffuser, this one I purchased in pineapple and mangosteen. The smell is very fruity, yet not overpowering. I have placed it in my dining room, so the smell greets you when you walk in. It reminds me of summer vacations and going to the beach. There is the bamboo design I purchased and also a white design too.

I love the fact the diffuser doesn't need batteries or to be plugged in, so you can place it anywhere in the house and move it as frequently as you want without being restricted, and you don't need to remember to replace any batteries either. Also like the fragrance mist it is refillable, so you don't need to throw the whole thing out every time. It says on the package it lasts 30 days, I've only just purchased it so can't comment on that.

*For those of you not aware, I am a BzzAgent and get sent products to try free of charge or for a small fee, in return I get to share my reviews (good and bad) about them with you guys.

Dentyne Split2Fit

I seem to go from having zero campaigns to lots all at once at the moment. So most of you know by now that I am a Bzz Agent which means I get sent products to try for free or a small charge, and I get to review them and share the good (and bad) things about the product with you my lucky readers.

The latest product I am trying is Dentyne Split2Fit gum, I', not a huge fan of gum, but I do like to carry a pack in my purse and a pack in my car for those days when I may have had garlic or something else offending for lunch or dinner!

For those of you who buy a lot of gum you will know that some of the packs can be quite bulky, the advantage with this one is you can split the pack, so you have two convenient size packs that you can choose what to do with. Might be you want to share the pack with a friend or you might want to keep a pack in two different places. The smaller size is handy as it still has 8 pieces of gum in but the size means it will fit in the smallest place, such as a small pocket or a purse without taking up too much space.

I got sent six individual packs to try so if anyone would like a pack just let me know.

No more frizzy hair

I've been a very busy Bzz Agent lately getting to try out new products, the latest one is one of my favorites. It is  Frizz-Ease® Sheer Solution Lightweight Frizz Control I've used it for the last three days and haven't had to use my hair straighteners once, as it leaves my hair looking and feeling silky smooth all day.

One of the suggested tasks as part of this campaign was to take a photo before using Frizz-Ease® Sheer Solution Lightweight Frizz Control and one after using it, so here goes.

Before: This was taken approximately 4 hours after washing and blow drying my hair. It's not a great photo, as I took it in the sunlight, but you can see some of the frizz and how my hair has gone curly.
After: This photo was taken today, 7 hours after washing and blow drying my hair and using Frizz-Ease® Sheer Solution Lightweight Frizz Control. As you can see hardly any frizz and my hair is really straight and I didn't need to use hair straighteners. Both days I have been outside and it's been between 40% and 50% humidity.

One of the great things about this product is you don't need much of it, they recommend 10 drops, I used just over 10, and it is a quick to use, and the bottle is small so handy for traveling. I am eager to try it on a day where I don't blow dry my hair to see if it leaves my hair feeling heavy or greasy. I believe it is priced around the $9.99 which I think is a great price.

As part of the campaign I received lots of free samples of this product, so if you would like to try some let me know :)

For those of you who aren't aware of BzzAgent, it's free to join and they send you products to try (90% of the time free of charge), and you get the fun job of trying them and telling your friends all about the good (and bad) experiences with them, and then you write reviews on the products. They are always looking for new agents, and they are in the US, Canada and the UK.

Filippo Berio olive oil

Im currently participating in a new BzzAgent campaign. For those of you who havent heard of BzzAgent, its a site that is free to sign up to and they send you products to try (normally free of charge), and in return you tell all your friends about the items, whether it be good of bad feedback.

For this campaign I received an 8.4oz bottle of Filippo Berio extra virgin olive oil, a cool fridge magnet that is a substitution chart, so shows you how much olive oil to use in recipes instead of butter/margarine, a set of $1 off coupons to share with you guys and some recipe cards and a Filippo Berio Olive Oil jar opener. The substitution card is available to print off on their website: http://www.filippoberio.com

I've always been a big fan of using olive oil, especially when i do roasted veg dishes, but other than that I haven't used it in any recipes, so this is my chance to start planning. The olive oil arrived the day I moved house, so that is one of the excuses I have for not blogging about it or using it sooner. One of the recipe cards is Broken Spaghetti with Shrimp so I plan on trying that some night this week.

How many of you use olive oil in recipe and how often?

Hill's Science Diet - Ideal Balance

It's Bzz Agent time again. As most of you will know I am a Bzz Agent, which means I get sent products/services to try for free or a small fee, and then I get to share all the good (and bad) things about the product/service with you guys :) They are looking for new agents all the time and its free to sign up, they want people in UK, USA and Canada, so go check them out and you could also be getting lots of cool things to try.

This month I was sent a bag of the new Hill's Science Diet - Ideal Balance, grain free dog food.

I've used Hill's science diet in the past, and do like to change my food every now and then to give the dog's some variety. Although they can be fussy eaters, but not when it came to this food, they both emptied their bowls straight away. I mixed it with some of their current food for the first few days, but now they are eating it on its own and seem to love it. Their bowel movements have been perfect (if there is such a thing!! - dog owners will know what I mean), and I haven't noticed any itching which can be a common problem in westies.

The first ingredient in the food is fresh chicken, which is always a good sign, and it contains no corn, artificial colors or preservatives. It is supposed to improve their skin and coat, but I haven't noticed any change yet, although it has only been a week. Not sure if I will continue with the food as it seems a lot more expensive than the brand I normally use, but if I do see a positive change in their skin/coat then I may well change to it permanently.

You can find out more about the food on their web page http://www.hillspet.com/ideal-balance/ideal-balance-home.html and Ive just noticed there is a link on that page under the dog food, where you can try the food for free via a rebate form, so if you think your dog (or cat as they do a cat version) may benefit from this new food, go try it for free.

Smarterer Bzz campaign

Smarterer is the latest campaign I am participating in via BzzAgent
For those of you who don't know I am a BzzAgent which means I get sent  products/services to try normally for free (occasionally there may be a small charge). I then get to try then and give my feedback and get to share all the good things and (if there are any) the not so good things about the product/service.

So Smarterer, is a website you can go to and you take short quizzes on different topics, Ive done twitter, facebook and BzzAgent so far, and you earn badges that you can post to your pages to challenge your friends to see who is smarterer, you also get to add your own questions, Ive not tried that part so far. It's fun, simple and quick to use, and nice when you are smarterer than your friends. So go ahead see if you are smarterer than me :)
